money talks.

I haven't seen the flick, and I suspect it would be a bad day if I did see it, but consider the amount of money that was on the table , just waiting to be scooped up if this movie got made.
Yes, pure product films are probably what you dislike about hollywood, but it is an industry, if you don't make money, you don't work for long.
I judged this last rambo movie by how long stallone resisted picking that amount money off the table. before I even saw it.
when the critics confirmed my suspicions , i felt a little smug. I've had an interest in movies since I worked as a teen aged usher in a movie house, and after all that time can often somewhat tell the worth of a movie by checking how the promotions are constructed.
I also double check against a big single run house, not a multi plex. If a movie I think is a big deal, but is not picked up by the single run houses, I double check my opinions. The movie managers used to get a little book , like a tv guide, describing the movies and the expected box office in a couple of sentences. It was kind of cool to see all the hype around a new movie, and know that what the industry saw in it might be completely different.
I was raised that men do not gossip, sorry dad. I was told by a women who lived in the same building as stallones trainer, she said it was all liquid muscle, ped's, and melted away between movies, the big muscles just done for the role.
