gave Ladd a pretty good dramatic foil...LC was like a young and ruthless Sidney Greenstreet. And how about Robert Preston dogging him all through the film? Paramount made some fine films in that era. IMHO, The Blue Dahlia is Ladd's highwater mark in Noir.
I love both movies.
