500 Days of Summer: Required Viewing for Teenaged Boys . . .

Wonderfully written and acted, this should be required viewing for the unsuspecting male on the cusp of his hormonal surge. We are shown the absolute pitfalls of dealing with the female species and its inscrutable behavior and mental processes. Another words, prepare for disappointment and heartbreak without reason.
Deschanel was funky and beguiling and Gordan-Levitt deftly played the archetypal bewildered male. They both complimented and contrasted each other as the film rolled on.
As the narrator said, "This is not a love story", and that is true.
Cute and charming...not a bad Saturday afternoon out.
