This is a nice taut little Aussie neo-noir in the classic mold. A man and woman are having an affair. Both being married, they want to find a way to be together. In classic noir fashion, the woman comes up with a path, but it involves some illegalities. And the man makes a fateful decision.

I have revealed few spoilers, as all of this happens very early in the movie. The plot cranks into motion and the characters soon have their hands full.

It's stylish and well-acted. I thought there were a few too many random events driving plot events, but in general, the tension level is kept high. While it is hard to actually like any of these amoral criminals (and that's pretty much everyone here), that's never been the point of the noir style.

It's not a classic on the level of Double Indemnity, but it's a solid entry and a fast moving pleasure to watch.
