'Gone Girl': "You have a world-class vagina."

Posted by Billy Wonka on October 3, 2014 at 17:13:33:

Nick uttered this sweet nothing to Amy in front of five other people just before he produced an engagement ring. The dialog in the beginning of the movie was very pithy and uptown as Nick and Amy got to know each other. Later, as a result of the recession, they moved to Nick's hometown in Missouri. After a few years there the strain began of measuring up to the standards of Amy began to take its toll. suddenly a set of circumstances set off a chain reaction that keeps you in your seat for over two hours.

Nick and Amy are both Narcissists from different backgrounds. Pike was almost perfectly typecast as a beautiful, wealthy, intelligent, sophisticated writer of children's books. Affleck did well as the more down to earth Nick who fights to avoid the death penalty aided by his sister and super-divorce lawyer, Tyler Perry. Dougie Howser plays one of Amy's long lost loves that plays into the web.

Drama, suspense, and a few very serious twists and turns. Definitely worth seeing. Tip: No bladder buster drinks or you will miss something.

This one is better than the trailers let on.
