This Agnès Varda's 1965 film deals with similar subject... albeit in a very different way.
If C&M is a bombastic Mahler symphony, Le Bonheur is a chamber piece: spoken quietly and with soft touch.
That, however, does not remove the high internal tension - as the events develop, you keep wondering how it all is going to end.
And then it becomes clear how.
A thoughtful chick flick, if there ever was one...
