The Beatles: Eight Days a Week
Posted by Dr Phibes on October 30, 2016 at 02:34:17:
Although I've watched "Beatles Anthology" numerous times- Ron Howard's "Eight Days a Week" unearthed great Beatle footage I'd never seen before that made me wonder - where has this footage been hiding all these years? Howard chronicles the innocence of the times and the excitement of Beatles in a linear way that exhibits their success that quickly outgrows the available facilities and tedious media scrutiny - and we have a have a front row seat. The hardcore Beatle fan won't have oodles of revelations but the documentary is so well done, even well-traveled events ("Bigger than Jesus") take on a new perspective. The noteworthy fact is despite non-stop touring and time restraints the Beatles of this era were releasing a new record every 6 months. Each release showing a significant maturity and transformation. I was astonished all over again. I loved it!
