RE: previously the movie to see was...

"Gunfight at the OK Corrall" 1958, with Kirk Douglas,Burt Lancaster & Rhonda Flemming. I had never thought to compare the 1994 "Wyatt Earp" movie with Costner & Quaid to the 1958 movie. Instead I had compared it to the previously released Tombstone movie with Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer & Sam Elliot.

Which reminds me, the 1958 movie was played on TCM the other night and I recorded it to the DVR while doing other stuff. Maybe I'll put that on. I suspect it will let me down.

Back in '94 I kind of remember thinking that I liked the '93 Tombstone movie a tad bit better than "Wyatt Earp". But that may have been simply because I'd already had enough Wyatt Earp for a while. What was up with the timing on the release of those two movies?
