not the anti-Black Panther film that was feared. All the perps were either Hispanic or Caucs so PC was achieved to some degree. Plus, the city of Chicago got kneecapped by the opening with all the stats.

This is not a frame per frame remake of the Bronson original. Willis is an ER surgeon who saves lives every day. One evening he got called in on an emergency and his wife (Shue) and daughter (Morrone) were home alone. Here comes the home invasion and unlike the original no one was raped or murdered on the scene. That came later.

Willis had been shown to be somewhat passive in the buildup to his vigilantism. The film clearly showed him as "righting justice" on the spot and not necessarily enjoying it. Once his daughter recovered from her coma there was one last attempt at killing both of them for revenge.

Dean Norris played a Chicago detective assigned to the case. They (his partner) figured it out and let all the murders slide if the good doctor returned to saving lives exclusively.

This one had a "made for" look and Willis' body of work for a good while now has been for Red Box and cable. He was good as Bruce Willis and the supporting cast did well also.

This film gives Willis' fans a chance to see him on the big screen once again but is primarily made for secondary venues. Interesting and entertaining it was made for popcorn and coke.
