Sneaky Pete season 2 on amazon

Posted by tunenut on March 14, 2018 at 09:29:14:

A little over a year ago, the first season showed up. The set-up was a released convict named Marius, a con man in danger, who decided to pretend to be his prison cellmate, Pete. He showed up at Pete's grandparents' farm, told them he was Pete and many complications ensued. It took all 10 episodes to resolve the danger posed by gangster Vince (Bryan Cranston, who also produced).

At the very end of season 1, it turned out Marius had made an unfortunate choice of new identity, as Pete himself had stolen a lot of money from another really bad guy. So being Pete now put him in a whole new mortal danger.

So the start of season 2 is essentially a reboot with a new bad situation. There are also some deaths that occurred as part of the season 1 chaos, and various gangsters and police are lurking around, causing more troubles.

This is all over the top, as both Marius/Pete and everyone in his pretend new family face a continuing series of horrible crises. Needless to say, Marius/Pete's con skills are put to constant test.

Well, it's lots of fun and extremely bingeable. I am certainly hoping for a season 3 next year.
