'The Open House': Things going bump in the night . . .

The family's breadwinner get smacked by a hit and run driver and mom and only son are left to meager devices. They get a chance to get away from it all by staying in the vacation home of mom's sister while they are trying to sell it.

They arrive and immediately things start going sideways in small and predictable ways. You feel this is going to be another Rosemary's Baby kind of thing--but it's not.

I don't really give it a "must see" tag but do mention it for building sufficient tension while having a truly awful ending. An ending you almost never see. Maybe that's why NF green lighted it for production.
