'Replicas': The Keanustein Chronicles

Posted by Billy Wonka on January 13, 2019 at 17:59:33:

Somebody has got to do the heavy lifting around here . . .

It's very difficult to NOT walk out within the first twenty minutes. Such a sci-fi drudge. Keanu works at a secret lab in Aricebo that is trying to take dead donors (soldiers) and transfer their full conscience mind into a robot. (Keanu never thought that through).

He takes his wife and three kids away for the weekend but has a wreck and his wife (Eve) and his three kids die. He enlists his #1 assistant (Middleditch) to help him clone them. The process is interesting and the results seemed successful but with quirks, of course. Reeves boss gets wind of about $13M worth of equipment and "pods" missing and makes threats while demanding the clones be terminated.

Well, this was no John Wick 2 but it was okay for cable viewing. Get a bunch of munchies and the stuff that gives you the munchies and giggle along.

2 wonks nice production budget and semi-believable sci-fi
3 wanks for predictability and Keanu (how did he get an acting license?)
