If you're the type of person who sets up the source for the best possible output, calibrates the display to the source and are generally a video nerd about similar details, it will be worth the extra expenditure. Now, will it be a night and day type of difference? Of course not. It will, however, be a subtle, yet discernable, difference that makes the extra effort worth it.
The average person is better off spending the difference in cost elsewhere.
