RE: wireless HDMI adaptors

Posted by ornery on September 22, 2013 at 12:00:16:

I've got a couple of those I've been using for the past few months. One is for the projector and it's great for that. It means I don't need to run a 35 foot hdmi cable. The other one is hooked up to the bedroom dish joey (cable box) so I can watch tv anywhere in the house. Since it's a radio remote rather than infrared I just take the remote with me.

They work ok overall but they do have some reliability problems. I frequently end up unplugging/plugging them to get the connection established. Once they connect they're fine.

I think that technology will be everywhere pretty soon. I read recently of a projector that had wireless hdmi built in. It's a real no brainer for them.
