4K Display -- Why would I want one?

Posted by jedrider on September 22, 2013 at 14:24:12:

Just posing the question. There are Seiko 4K displays out there for about $1200.00 at 50 inches diagonal with no frills.

So, why would I want one?

I have an audio room that better half suggests should also be usable as a video room!! Nothing is ORDINARY in my audio room!!

So, all I would need is either a computer!! OR a blu ray player that can upscale and I'm all set, right??

P.S. Obviously I'm on sort of a budget or I wouldn't even be asking ;-)
