80s women's hair and clothing was truly scary.
Pieces of meat hanging on hooks. Hooks pulling flesh. Didn't that toupee sporting Richard Harris star in a really bad Western with those same disgusting scenes?
Really, really bad acting. Laughable dialogue. Endlessly repetitive plot. Hard to believe this ever got released. Or that Clive Barker went on to make more films, including sequels. So utterly bad it can't even be "camp" or a cult film.
The only thing memorable? The pinhead character, visually. That's it.

"E Burres Stigano?"
Surely not a great "film," but I wouldn't even put "Hellraiser" in the category of "worst horror movies I've seen."
of the one before. The last one I saw made me mad at myself.
I liked that more than the first as it, IIRC, really explored the Cenobites world. No desire to see anymore after that tho. Enuf is enuf

"E Burres Stigano?"
Jason, Freddie, Michael Myers, etc
The concepts & thoughts behind "Hellraiser" are first rate, even if the film doesn't reach the level of the writing.
"Nightmare on Elm Street" with "Freddie" is a notch down on concept, but still pretty decent.
The "Halloween" and "Friday the 13th" offerings are quite a few rungs down.
I searched the internets far and wide and couldn't find his review of Hellraiser. Joe Bob rates movies according to the BBB content, Breasts, Beasts, and Blood. So, of course, he loved it. I guarantee you, if you could somehow find the review, a belly laugh or two would emerge as you read it. FWIW, his reviews should be taken with a grain, maybe two, of salt. I got a kick out of it, but watched it in the context of his review. No argument on the acting. There's a reason those "stars" aren't household names. Also, if you disliked Hellraiser, you're gonna really not like Hellraiser:Hellbound.

I was finally getting to the point where Hellraiser was going to be on my top 10,000
to get around to some 30 years after it was released.
Whew! THAT was close!
"Once this was all Black Plasma and Imagination" -Michael McClure
Thanks for the chuckle!
I'd have to live to senility before I'd watch it i think... not my kinda flick.
One assumes you watched the whole thing, though, start to finish. :-)
