I just rewatched it for the third time recently. Wonderful film but, like most of his films, not for those with a short attention span.
If you haven't seen it, seek out A Tale of Winter. I was able to see it once but have had a difficult time finding it again.
Too many cool films to list of Rohmer's, but I have a special fondness for The Four Adventures of Rheinette and Mirabelle.
Follow Ups:
his films are about relationships, too, but with a very unusual, improvised character that are both similar and very different to Rohmer. "Hotel by the River" is one of his latest and I'd highly recommend it.
I enjoy his films as well! Have seen the two with Isabelle Huppert, Hotel by the River, and four more. I remember Claire's Camera and at least one other being surreal, unlike Rohmer's more straight forward style, but yes they would appeal to a very similar audience!
It's time for another dive into Tavernier, for me...
