I've been waiting for this film for almost two years now...One of the greatest scores written for a musical... I got goose bumps watching the trailer!
Follow Ups:
They Can't.
Actually, the Movie Score is different from the Broadway Score.
I've played both, and I prefer the Movie Score.
the Sax and assorted WW Parts.
The Film Score is full Symphony Orchestra.
There is one amazing lick in the Film Score,
where there is a FAST Staccato passage beginning low in the Bassoons and going up through to the Piccolo.
I mean REALLY FAST!
SFS WW Section NAILED IT!
I was never happier to NOT have that too...
I just throw on my disc which features the composer (Lenny) conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in the best rendition that I have heard. The disc also features the BEST IMO recording of Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue... I am looking forward to the film biopic of Lenny's life, Maestro starring Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan....
Looks good. Maybe it will make up for Ready Player One. :-)
'Lawrence of Arabia' wouldn't make up for 'Ready Player One'.

. . . a lot of what Spielberg touches turns to treacle.
Spielberg has a talent for sentimentality that most people relate to... He has certainly had his share of crap movies, but more wins than misses... The same could be said of Scorsese and Coppola who both have had some real stinkers IMO....
