I LOVED this low-budget movie, and had heard it will be out on DVD soon! Maybe I hold it close to my heart because I actually HAD a BFGW myself (my wife is Greek-American), and my father-in-law is a spitting image of Toula Portokalos' dad in the flick! And even before this movie was a gleam in Nia Vardalos' eye, I held Windex in high esteem as a 'universal' potion with 1001 uses!!!Even the house was a wedding gift to us (which allows me to spend more money on audio stuff!), just like the movie!!!
I love Greeks, and their 'zest for life', and I LOVED this honest, heartfelt, fun movie!
Follow Ups:
i saw the film last night, and it's a pleasure to watch.the director kind of has you smiling through most of it, and laughing through some of it. the beginning is especially strong.
he is also able to communicate subtle things in the film.
