More seriously, he created a character for the ages in "Tombstone" with his portrayal of Doc Haliday. The line "Ahhhm in mahh prahmmm" is immortal, and quite rightly so.
(He was damn good in "Heat," as well, though anyone that'd willingly leave Ashley is a bit thick).
Follow Ups:
Salton was a tough, but rewarding watch. As gritty as films come with quite a few surprises. Kilmer may not have been perfect for the part, prolly a little due to being cast against type (how could the perfect fighter jockey be a meth freak?) but I thought he did a very difficult part justice. As for Top Secret, a longtime personal fav of mine and Kilmer was perfect in his role. Pre teen maternity department anyone?
