I agree with "The Killer" being overrated. I prefer to take my John Woo straight, no chaser: "Hard Boiled", "A Bullet In The Head" (director's cut only, please), and "Face-Off". Before I make too many generalizations about 1.4 billion people, I shall adhere to the following classifications: Chinese movies (e.g., dir. Zhang Yimou) = People's Republic of China, Taiwanese movies (e.g., dir. Ang Lee) = Nationalist China, and Hong Kong movies (e.g., dirs. John Woo, Wong Kar-Wei, Tsui Hark) = Hong Kong (I know, I know, they belong behind door #1 now).
