...here's a list.
What do you think?
Follow Ups:
I wrote little reviews here for Brawl in Cell Block 99, A Ghost Story, and the Villainess.I liked the Villainess much more then any of these other films.
"Brawl ..." was trashy fun. "Ghost.." was strange. It was so Warhol molasses slow it pissed me off - but then I thought about it for days. ha ha
The Lost City of Z wasn't even worth discussing, in my opinion.
My most underrated vote would go to "Happy Hunting" I wrote about it a couple months back ...
"... Happy Hunting - A Nail Biter - A desperately addicted alcoholic/drug addict finds himself in Bedford (population 135) where the inhabitants have an annual hunt of derelicts and undesirables.
Happy Hunting is not a tired retread of "The Most Dangerous Game". When it's ridiculously violent there is a keen presentation of action and fun that softens the blood flow while the filmmakers political statement resounds in the context of a kind of Hillbilly Horror run amuck.
Totally unbelievable, ridiculous and effective. I liked it a lot. A real nail biter..."
Have a great day!

Vaughan delivering his enormous charm and pith as he smashes and bashes his way through a prison to pull a hit to save his family on the outside. Lots of blood and skull crushing but it's all in good fun. Not a high budget effort but this was more of a character vehicle for Vaughan, et al.
Not for the dainty, this will keep you watching until the last bone is broken.
Red Box
We are seriously looking for diversion these days, and there are too many movies.
Way too many. Most either don't make it to theaters or don't stay long. If they make it, they are seriously competing with others showing at the same time. I guess I don't understand the full revenue stream because these things cost serious coin. Ten minutes of credits scrolling at the ends.
Thanks, I'll be sure to check some of those

...I have to say I saw Okja and thought it was a sweet, forgettable kids film.
Brawl in Cellblock 99 come out on DVD the day after XMas.
