Kobe Bryant is tied with... Gary Oldman who won best actor for "Darkest Hour."And Kobe is ahead of Stanley Kubrick 1-0 .
That said, I always enjoy the Oscars - the amazing production, the dresses, the comedy, the flubs.
I disagree with 50% of most of it- especially the music. Will a song that doesn't sound like it belongs in "The Lion King" ever emerge?
Have a great day!

Not everyone is ecstatic about it.
I thought he was found innocent.
SI seem to be racist. They put only a shadow of Arthur Ashe on the cover when he won Wimbledon.

Sweet! very good indeed to read that Mr. Oldman received his Oscar.
He has quite the body of work, never a poor performance.
We were gratified too - Right before Gary Oldman won, we went through the myriad of characters he's ingeniously portrayed ... True Romance , The Contender, The Professional , Beethoven, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Dracula, Sid Vicious ... Churchill! Oldman is absolutely amazing.

...most boring and predictable Oscar shows in a long time.
Nothing very funny or even out of the ordinary to remember this one by.
No Satcheen Littlefeather or even any political speeches.
Kimmel's bit sending snacks to the movie theater was lame.
Offering a Jet Ski for the shortest speech was as good as it got.
I watch it out of long habit, and though I love movies, many of my favorite movies are not ever noticed by the Academy.
I have listened to Sufjan Stevens' Carrie and Lowell countless times, and it is a favorite, so I enjoyed seeing him have a big moment, although he lost to the very forgettable Remember Me (the music was the weakness of Coco I felt).
Why oh why didn't Beatty and Dunaway announce La la Land as best picture? That would have brought down the house.
Of all the best picture nominees I've seen so far (7 of 9) Shape of Water is easily my favorite, so I'm glad to see it winning prizes.
Not many memorable moments for a big 90th anniversary, but I will again watch it in a year and maybe something unexpected will happen then.
...except for the songs.
We fast-forwarded the DVR.
Hated the Songs.
The Message is more important than the Music.
Movie Music and Songs have a Cookie-Cutter Quality to them.
And Everyone is SO In-Your-Face, it's nauseating!
I'm Beautiful!
Look at ME!
I said LOOK, Dammit...
except for a joking reference to Harvey Weinstein at the beginning there was NO mention of he or his company AT ALL.
For the past 20 or so years someone would ALWAYS be thanking him seemingly every 6.5 minutes. Also, his company
must have released some films last year before the shit head hit the fan.
This is a frightening aspect of Hollywood; a bunch sycophants dependent on this one powerful asshole, the asshole gets removed
and disappeared like nothing ever happened.
Pretendville.
There were some nice gowns. The music was horrible (par for the course).

I have friends, quite a few actually, who don't watch it because of political concerns. Seems silly to rob yourself of an evening's entertainment because you don't agree with a few peoples' politics. FWIW, I thought the acceptance speeches last night were conspicuously bereft of politics tho I did fast forward through more than a few of the minor awards speeches.

"E Burres Stigano?"
Well, we didn't watch it because we had a good film instead... much better than the trash those people feed us.
