Any idea where I might rent a consumer grade Beta deck for transferring hours of 20+ year old video to a more lasting format? My Beta died and Sony can't fix it.Any idea what it'd cost? I can't just go to a service because of the many hours of video I have, I wouldn't want all of it, so I have to watch and choose. Hope to burn DVDs on my computer.
Thanks.

Forget it. I have 2 Beta decks and probably would be willing to sell one for the cost of shipping and a Kettleone vodka!!! That's $5.75 here in Santa Rosa, the Kettleone that is (per drink).
You could certainly go over to ebay and see if you could pick one up for cheap. If not how about a commercial service. Go over to google and enter 'beta to dvd' and see what comes up. Good luck.
