Help! My Sony S9000ES DVD player no longer sends sound to the T.V. The T.V. speakers work fine (JVC32D501) when watching cable, but when I set "input" to bring up the DVD, I can see the picture fine, but there's no sound. My 12 year son had been using it last. I have been through the manual. I have checked the cables. I have been through the t.v. manual. I have gone through setup on both. Maybe I messed something else up! Is there something obvious that I'm missing? I'm out of my league here.

Assuming the wires are connected properly, check your DVD players audio multiple output settings, that's probably the culprit.
