I've owned the Magnepan MG-CC1 for about a year now, and overall it's
a very good center channel speaker. I have Acoustat Spectra 22's front
left and right, and the pan between these speakers is very smooth and
clean. What I have is a very clean integrated soundfield all across
the front....

Movie dialog is incredibly clear -- unless of course it's someone that
has the habit of mumbling their lines. No speaker can help someone like
Brando enunciate clearly :-)

I have a growing collection of music/concert DVDs, and as with all
Maggies, reproducing the sound of voices is its forte`. The center channel
of the Eagles' Hell Freezes Over presents each voice of the harmonies as
a seperate entity... That is to say you can hear the voices perfectly
blended, yet still tell which person is singing the individual notes.

The one limitation I've heard so far is that it can lose focus at the
bottom of some male voices -- this is due to its lack of low frequency
extension, and a slight "gap" because of the crossover frequency I
needed to select for the best balance in my Home Theater setup.

Product Weakness: Could use another octave of bass extension.
Product Strengths: Natural sounding voices, and instrumental timbres.
