Can anyone explain why my relatively new Marantz SR7000 receiver is now shutting itself off after about 5 minutes after I turn it on?It's not the sleep mode, and I'm not overpowering it (it's being played at a low volume), so I am at a loss. Have not touched the wires or hardware at all - and has worked great for about 1 month.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with your receiver. Do the following: Bring up your on-screen display. Go into "system set up". On the left side you will see the words "TV auto". To the right of that, it is reading "Enable". Change "Enable" to "Disable". Now your receiver won;t shut off automatically anymore
Is the receiver the only thing on the circuit that's shutting off? Are the rest of the components plugged into the same outlet still on?If so, check the sleep mode again.
Still have the problem? Disconnect everything from the receiver--absolutely everything. Nothing but the power cord should be connected. Still have the problem? Take it in for repair.
It's only a guess but have you check the breakers at the circuit board . Sometimes there are more appliances connected to an specific circuit that the usually recommended . This cause an overloading that shutt-off the breakers or the more sensitive equipment in the chain . For security , do not mess with them , call an elictrician for advise.Or , you better give a call to a Marantz dealer , is more secure. Good luck.
