I am in the market for one. I don't care for any gimmicky features like PIP, channel search, etc. Just want a clean picture, no geometric distortion, natural soft colors without any hard edges and no video noise? Flat screen is not bad but not mandatory? Is there any to look at in the sub $1000 range? Will be watching cable primarily.Suggestions will be greatly appreciated
I have a 32" Sony Trinitron 3 yrs. old now. I think I paid $900.00 back then so I'm sure the price is lower now. I love the picture and have had no problems with it so far. KV32S26 I think. Single tuner PIP
with very few bells and whistles. In this size range you're gonna find a few trinkets. I bought what I thougt was the best picture for the money at the time. Friends and family members who have owned Sony TV's have shown them to be pretty much bullet proof so I guess reliability issues were a purchasing factor also. Make sure you get S-video capability. With DBS or DVD you will love it. HTH -CJB
