I dread it when someone in my family by accident presses the STOP button on my DVD player. I have to press play wait for the player to play all the studio’s logos the FBI warning etc. Only then I am allowed to pick the scene in a menu (I won’t get started on the menu). If I ever lost my remote I would not be able to play some of my DVDs because they require the ENTER key!
Is this common to all DVD players?
I own a Pioneer DV-414
Sony DA30ES
B&W 302 CC3
JVC TV
Thanks for any comments.
Now I feel better.

On the 3109, if you hit "stop" on either the remote or front panel, the player stops and you get an on-screen message that gives you a chance to bail out of the stop command (it's almost like pausing, except the screen goes blank except for the message). To actually stop, you have to hit "stop" again.
