I'm interested in any suggestions or opinions people have about whether or not using different interconnects for an RF demodulator (for a DVL 91 combo player) would make any difference.Right now, I am using a .5 meter run of Kimber Kable PBJ I had laying around, into my Proceed AVP's internal demodulator. Sounds fine, but I'm curous if anyone else has experimented with cables for this purpose.
I have a Sony LD player with an AC-3 out mod, and a Yamaha DDP-1 DD decoder, and I can not tell the difference between half of a junk, comes in the box interconnect, and a Audio Quest video cable for the AC-3 connection.
Well, the AC3RF signal is a digital signal modulated into radio frequency.
The AC3RF is actually an analog signal due to the modulation.I suppose that you can use a simple (read: cheap) digital coax or video coax (75ohm). You may or may not be able to hear the difference from the PBJ you've been using...I dont think that you will (no offense); I cant tell with mine anyway.
I was curious too and asked around. I never really got a good answer.
Do you need Digital coax,Regualar video or an audio cable?
