A look at the marriage of two of the most influential entertainers, dancers and directors of all time! LOVE me some Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon!

AND Michele Williams as Gwen Verdon. I thought it was excellent and can't wait until episode #2! I like the way they are doing it with a nod to All That Jazz That movie really should have won the Oscar for Best Picture.....instead of Kramer vs. Kramer! All the more reason for me to hate Meryl Streep... and I DO!

To me drawing a grudge against someone winning an award where they had no control over the voting, would be just a way to trash up my life with meaningless negativity.

I don't know the woman, to me she is a person with a glamorous job who managed to make it big in a very competitive field. Does she have bad breath or something?

I guess you have your reasons, frustration lack of control., i guess the possibilities are endless ,once you set your mind to it.

i would guess, like most successful people in that industry, she can tell a good story, and has a lot of life to draw from. i am not an industry fan boy, but a person who can manage a good tale is always nice to have around the fire.

neil young wrote, perhaps you know the song , if I were a trapper, I would give a thousand pelts , to sit with marlon brando and find out how he felt.........something like that. lighten up ,on the capitalized hate messages, you'll live longer. She's just another worker, trying to do her best, probably we both share that situation wit her, unless you are of the investor class, and don't labor for your income.

Kramer vs. Kramer took ALL the major awards that year, and IMO was a shit movie. All That Jazz was FAR more of an artistic movie. Kramer vs. Kramer has been Robert Benton's one trick pony as a director, he hasn't done anything of great substance since....Streep always reminds me of my ex-wife in looks and demeanor plus I was going through my own Kramer vs. Kramer at the time of that movie. I do think she has talent, but once she started shooting her mouth off as far as politics goes she was DEAD to me. Robert DeNiro same story. I won't pay to see their movies anymore. YMMV.

I was expecting some political speech would be at the heart of your objection, I hope your path becomes easier, and love will heal your heart.

I suppose what prompts my useless response is my grandmother. She was a hard core bible beater even had a doctorate in theology, and did a lot of good in the world, , but was also a my way or the highway person, everyone outside of her beliefs was going straight to hell, she was considered a pain in the ass by most, god was on her side. Now people let mass media tell them they are right and who to curse. An excuse to e a know it all and a bully.

Perhaps if you remembered democracy requires a contest where the better ideas win, you could accept others ideas more easily. Probably someone in your family has fought for democracy at some time and what else you do you want to go with?

As the saying goes, life is change, our life is what our thoughts make it, I can't see how you figure your end game, but I am not going to try to change a grown man.

Myself,I never cared for the actor Seymour Hoffman, just looking at the guy bugged me, something about his skin distracted me so much, it took me out of the movie. ..

I avoided his films because of it. I did go see him playing elron hubbard in the film about starting scientology , where he put in such big work, I forgot how uncomfortable watching him made me. It was only after he died as a junkie that I figured out why just seeing his skin upset me so much. The guy wasn't healthy.

You have picked some big stars to hate on, big enough that they can get projects moving that might have languished otherwise.

I don't know about their personal life, but when i go to obscure movies around town, i see and hear people in the movie industry , and actors that can swing that many paychecks into action are pretty well thought of. everyone excepts that most jobs will have a few a holes running around, and baby always needs a new pair of shoes. pitch a fit if you want, I see only self destruction as a result, so I try to look at the bright side when people bug me. Because otherwise, they are controlling my actions. I don't need someone I don't even respect running my life.

It is pretty easy to judge others, and that is not my intent.I have my own problems and only seek to wish you well with yours.

Artists have lately crossed the line of making their public politics well known. Let me give you a better example... Lucille Ball was a life-long Republican, EVERYONE knew it! She didn't parade her beliefs or support of her party in public. All these years later she is STILL the reigning TV comedian of all time... THAT to me shows class and a caring for her public and fan base to NOT push her personal agenda on her adoring public... Streep, DeNiro, Cher and Madonna (among MANY others) should take a lesson! As a PAYING customer I have the right to support artists as I choose..End of story...
