 I suspected so going in... Gaga was the ONLY redeeming participant in the film. Cooper mumbled his way through the film. The script IMO never established why Ally would even fall for Jackson! The supporting players did not reach the same levels of interest as 1954 or 1976. I'm sorry but one decent performance and one decent song do not make a great movie!

 But I was pushed while I was screaming and whining to see it. I agree Gaga did a better job than I expected. The girl can sing. I remember thinking that was not that bad at the end. I would give it 2 1/2 stars
