I like it. Its a Japanese sci-fi Manga cartoon character, greatly played by Rosa Salazar. Who? See pic.

Billed as a cyber-punk story set in the mid-2500's after the last great war (again?), Alita is a cyborg ass kicker spliced together by a mechanical engineer/medical doctor played by Christoph Waltz. That guy is good. His nuance of speech and gesture are impeccable. Alone, he could make this worth watching.

It's basically a teen flick written by James Cameron (Avatar), directed by Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi, Machete, Sin City). This thing was started in 2003, but hit all kinds of production snags on its way to being released earlier this year. The comic books are a series, and so is the film. There's already a sequel in the works.

It's not just effects and action. There is actually a story inside this thing. I think you will like it. Check it out. I think James Caan would like it.

I thought it was an outstanding sci-fi flick. I was going to write about it after I saw it in the theater, but never got around to it. I recommend.

Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!

It should have been released on Valentine's Day.

It's pretty good for its genre, posted on August 3, 2019 at 23:44:52

I've enjoyed a lot of science fiction robot movies and thought this one was very good, add in some roller ball, fine with me.

It was kind of a drag that the improved robot also got breasts as part of the deal, but I know the thing has to make money where women are objectified, and I guess that goes double for robots, from the looks of the final comic book style body.

Dang it man, I do like the way you think.

So many sci fi flicks fail, seemingly without any effort toward quality, and I liked this one. robots , a mad scientist or two, one reformed, the other the evil beautiful woman bad guy , the mindless henchman, it had a lot of classic touches , now that think back. Took a heck of a cast to make that story work.

I don't know that I would bust ass to go see it again, but I would choose it before many others if at home.
