I put in a pre-order for this.

Due out in October, and hope it doesn't take TOO much longer than that to actually arrive...

Well, yes, I am excited, but not nearly 200 bucks excited. I didn't see my favorite among them--the one about the two tiny fairy girls who sing to the monster to wake him up and save the island. That one was a hoot!
Maybe it just wasn't in the summaries.

That was Gozilla vs Mothra - it is included. :), posted on August 22, 2019 at 09:30:20

I wasn't hooked at the nearly $200 smackers price, but managed to get it elsewhere, with a couple "discount coupons" for something like $129 including tax & shipping. Still quite a bit of a splurge, but think it is worth the dough to relive a bunch of my childhood! :)

Yeah, I need some of them from that Godzilla era, but I already have the criterion release of the original Godzilla.

BTW, there's a relatively new Mothra release in a tin box for $15 on Amazon - not a lot of extras, but not bad for a nice blu-ray.

As for the box set, I'll wait for a half-price sale at Criterion or Barnes & Noble.

That was Mothra with the two fairy girls. My best friend and I went to go see the Rifftrax (Mystery Science Theater) release of that. The best riff of the movie was of the two Japanese fairy girls in the palm of a hand, and the line was, "Wow, Woody Allen would pay a lot for those two!"

Big speakers and little amps blew my mind!

My son and I used to watch Godzilla movies together when he was a kid. Still have those old vhs copies taking up space.

Yea, I grew up with the Showa era series, so I'm a big fan. I saw that, and hopefully the price will drop. I've been thinking about it, especially since Godzilla Vs Mothra (Godzilla Vs.The Thing) never made it to Blu-Ray in the US, and the Japanese version has no English. Sadly, the wife is not a fan.:-(

I've cherry-picked the films from that era that I like.
