I always have and always will..... Gary Cooper and Audrey Hepburn... they don't get more handsome OR beautiful.... One of Billy Wilder's best!

Those were the days of the old heroes. How come there were not many young male actors? Perhaps the female actresses looked oldish too, like Katherine Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman et al. Fred Astaire as a romantic hero!

Daddy Long Legs with Fred and Leslie Caron.... and another pairing of older younger actors and actresses... Astaire was in his mid 50's and Caron was mid 20's but it seemed to work... I watched this film like 10 times on the old Million Dollar Movie when I was a young boy.... Fell in love with it then and now I can watch it whenever I want as I have it on DVD.... Directed by Jean Negulesco and gowns by the famous Jean Louis (who made the famous Marilyn Monroe sheer number she wore to sing to the President).. Apparently it made an impression on me, as my wife is considerably younger than I am (11 years)....

With a lot of dancing involved and Leslie Caron too it was good to have Astaire. Gene Kelly won't fit in. I like 'Gigi' a lot. Do you?

Talking of age difference, we were 27 and 18 at marriage. Old actor!

Cheers
