As Sherlock and Mycroft's younger sister sets out on a journey to London to discover what happened to her Mother Eudoria Holmes ( Helena Bonham Carter) who suddenly mysteriously disappears into thin air after raising and training Enola on her own for 16 years... Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin are Sherlock and Mycroft respectively. I thought it was a a fun take on some timeless characters with the look and feel of a Harry Potter type film... Ms. Brown's production company produced the film, which at 16 to oversee such a task is amazing! Hopefully this will become one of many Enola Holmes episodes to come....

so far and I thought she did an admirable job here. Light and fast comedy maybe her ticket if her looks hold up past adulthood.

I'd say so far, she is doing better than Emma Watson did..., posted on September 24, 2020 at 15:01:21

at the same age. I'm not a Stranger Things fanatic or anything but Brown definitely has talent and it would seem she is putting it to good use at an early age....

My kids have been doing a Harry Potter retro binge the last weekend and I have to say that Emma Watson was cringeworthy in the first few.
OTOH, MBB had it pretty easy in the first/second Stranger Things seasons - look angry and don't do much else or look cute and don't do much else.

I'm not a fanatic for the series the way my wife is.... I thought MBB did a good job in Enola Holmes, and look forward to what her next project might be....

This is the one that says 'her brothers are useless'?

I've been a Sherlock Holmes fan over half a century and I'm tired of movies shitting on him.

What are you still doing on Netflix anyway? You a big fan of kiddy porn?
