10 Items or Less, with Morgan Freeman, and Don't Look Up with Leo DiCaprio.
Some great dark comedy in both.
Look Up is more Social Satire than Sci-Fi, and not off the Mark by any means.
Loved the ending!!!

was great!
And I fore-saw it!
I thought most of it was funny, even hilarious.

Good shot of the Space Ship leaving while Earth was exploding.
And Mark Rylance is a Fav!

OK, oops, spoiler. Watch it anyway! nt, posted on December 26, 2021 at 08:59:35

Definitely not gates hes the only gazillionaire not interested in space

That's true - however the parody in this movie is so broad and scattershot. . . , posted on December 27, 2021 at 01:26:20

. . . that that may not have mattered to the writers. Here's another one for you:

There's a theory that President Streep was intended to be a female version of Trump. Yes? No?

Parody has go be somewhat "broad," or else it's caricature or mockery. , posted on December 27, 2021 at 07:47:34

Yeah, I'd say Streep's character shared something with The Great Denier, as did Jonah H's with one of TGD's sons.

Figured people were already watching it.
Still, it will still work when you see it in context!

Fun stuff but I KNEW about... the Trumpette's end and just... had to wait.

No hard feelings...

My wife was VERY surprised!

Did you stay long enough to know which character this tune applies to?

And on further reflection, I'm thinking that Streep's character is also a composite, posted on December 28, 2021 at 14:27:36

Trump and Ivanka, more likely. I mean, he even said he'd date her if she wasn't his daughter. That, I'd argue, is one of the creepiest Dad comments of all time and I can't think of one other one, actually...

I enjoyed it! It was a real surprise! Great ending!
I think the Pres was more of a Hillary clone. She even had a photo on her desk with Hillary and Bil.

We struggled to finish it.

Is this the best the US is capable of producing these days?

"Is this the best the US is capable of producing these days?"...

Are you asking about the movie or the characters it portrays?

If both, I'd say no and yes as opposed to yes and no.
