Has Baz gone from sublime to the ridiculous or is this a worthwhile trip to the cinema?

I await your verdicts.

I've never liked any of his films. My guess is I probably never will. I even watched Moulin Rouge twice to make sure.

I almost got vertigo during the first five minutes with all the twirling signs and scenery but it settled down into an exuberant exercise of excess which worked as it tapered slowly through the end of the film.

It seemed to be forever long but in a good way. Baz did not dwell on Elvis' degradation after Priscilla left with Lisa Marie.

I want to know how long Austin spend in Elvis boot camp to become him because he sure did pull it off in a romanticized way. I wonder how many awards will come up? This was Butler's role of a lifetime. He might as well retire.

Hanks was miscast. They could have gotten a real fat guy to play Parker.

I don't know much about him and his films, but how can you not like Strictly Ballroom?
