At the end of the first hour, I was presented with an honorary M.F.A. My brow was so high I was gasping for oxygen. I knew that Symphony Leagues around the nation would be giving standing ovations because someone finally made a movie "for them".

The rest of the film showed us what the human side of fame, talent, and hubris can do. As only Blanchett can do.

This is an intense experience shored up by an excellent supporting cast and the creativity of Todd Fields who wrote, directed, and produced.

U-Haul lesbian

A stereotype of lesbian relationships

The U-Haul lesbian or U-Haul syndrome is a stereotype of lesbian relationships referring to the idea that lesbians tend to move in together after a short period of time. It suggests an extreme inclination toward committed relationships. Depending on the context, the term can be considered humorous, complimentary, or pejorative.

Everyone knows, all you have to do is wave your arms frantically, or like they're moving through Molasses.
That, and Grimace like there's no tomorrow.
TV Shows like Law and Order that delved into Classical Music were laughable.
I have a feeling Tar is like that.
Certainly JK Simmons as a sadistic Drum teacher was.

I enjoyed Immortal Beloved as well. nt., posted on October 29, 2022 at 14:47:09

Been waiting sixteen years for another Todd Field film. Really liked his others and was starting to wonder if he ever would do another film. Glad it sounds like a great one!

Now there is a recording of the music from the movie that is complete, but with no indication of who actually conducted it. I know for sure it wasn't Cate Blanchett.

Hildur Guonadottir conducted the film score - she won the oscar for the film Joker.
