This is an Anya Joy-Taylor vehicle. She has the most prominent role with Rafe (Ralph) Fiennes running second. Nicely cast, though. The storyline develops nicely to a point then it becomes a little less coherent as major plot points drop.

Getting out to see this is a toss-up.

Had to go ahead and see this again with a closer eye on the details. I will have to give Ralph top-billing over Anya because he's Ralph, for Pete's sake. The storyline seemed to grow heavier and more dreadful with each subsequent "course". As the film ground to its climatic finish I felt a distinct 'Hereditary', 'Midsommar' vibe. (I found it compelling.) I noticed in the credits that Colin Stetson did the soundtrack. Stetson did the soundtracks for 'Hereditary' and 'Midsommar'.

Both the kitchen staff (slavish devotion) and customers (hopeless desolation) gave good performances. A few near "break though".

disturbing, but mostly in a good way. I thought the ending was silly tho. Maybe that was Will Ferrell's idea. Your comments are on target. Anya T-J's date had a good role parodying a foodie geek. Likewise, the kitchen crew and their meticulous prep. I would like to have seen the food get a bigger part but this wasn't necessarily a foodie film.

There are some memorable lines - "You'll eat less than you desire and more than you deserve."

Loved the Rosebud ending with the cheeseburger...I was tearing up.
Yes, Anya Joy-Taylor really carries this one. Great film.
