...on video.

Interesting movie but the plot is a mess and makes little sense, especially the coincidence at the end.

I had to read about it afterward to figure out exactly what was going on.

One thing about Affleck - he is prolific with many misses and a few hits.

Gigli and Daredevil, then Argo.

...I think it was integral - his upbringing, martial arts training, savant-like focus, etc.

IMO, Afleck was perfect for this role., posted on January 19, 2017 at 11:30:55

His demeanor is disaffected, which fits this autistic type very well I think. Not in all autistic cases, but this was believable within limits of having to have some personal drama from the character.

The story was weakest in developing some background info about him; viewers had to connect some vague dots here and there. Even on second viewing, the lines were a little hazy, but walking away with some mystery still hanging out there made it more interesting.

I thought it was a refreshing new take on the superhero/antihero theme. I liked it a lot.

no depth, no emotions. This continues with 'Live By Night'. LBN is a faux liberal scream. He put all his personal attitudes into this film which can actually be offensive if you analyze it. I think Ben is losing his marbles and Casey is going to eat his lunch in the long run.
