007.4, Roger Moore has departed. I liked his work.

Or was it .5? He may have not been the most deadly Bond, but those films had a different focus then. I always liked the humor he brought to the role.

...foppish for my tastes.

Hard to replace Sean Connery.

But he was enjoyable.

When I was a kid, I preferred Moore to Connery. As I became older, I preferred Connery to Moore. This was about the time I watched episodes of The Saint, and, frankly, Moore's quips just wore on me.

Totally agree. Too refined for a dook out. *, posted on May 24, 2017 at 09:56:16

RM was the best 007. R.I.P.

Many of the 007 movies with Moore as Bond were good entertainment.

I too came of age while watching some of those "The Saint" episodes which, at the time, I enjoyed for their adventurous upper class entertainment value. And so it was with some anticipation that I watched for that first 007 movie with Moore as Bond; "Live and Let Die". And that was a good movie.

Few, if any, Bond actors have been able to capture the sensibility that Connery brought to the role. Moore brought his own aura into the mix and created a unique Bond. Perhaps those movies improve with age. Or is it more likely that, with age, my impression of them will lighten up a bit.
