Pretty looking film, pretty good CGI, pretty co-star, pretty art direction, pretty good stunts, pretty trite humor, not so pretty Russell Crowe, and Tom Cruise.

This is the typical Tom Cruise family flick. About the same level of "Pirates", if you will. With all the special effects and calamity it makes for an amusing/entertaining film but under the microscope, it's just another Hollywood project designed to tease ticket money from an unsuspecting moviegoer. Hollywood grinds on and a new generation of viewers get to see "their generation's" 'The Mummy' based on the trailers over-the-top effects and stunts. (It always works.)

If you have teenagers, this is the movie for them. Dad and Mom can sit through it feeling altruistic for being there with the kids. Again, this has HBO written all over it.

Wow, I have taken two bullets this weekend. I must be suicidal.

Brave man.

Funny, was getting MIGHTY tired of that JFK heading at the top of the page for so damned long.

So, thanks for that bit of progress too.

Hoping that at least the popcorns were worthy.

The trailers had me. I was hooked, set, and about to be reeled in.
Thanks to your timely heads up, I ducked into the bar next door to the theater for happy hour.
Whew. That was a close one.
