two excellent films, Colossus the Forbin Project (1970) and Synchronicity (2015) from someone who doesn't watch too many

I wanted to talk about two films that were excellent, I usually listen to music mostly, I have a projector which I rarely use, but I had put these on for my viewing pleasure recently and wanted to share some thoughts,

Synchronicity http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2049543/

Colossus the Forbin Project http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064177/

I'll touch on Synchronicity first, excellent film about time travel and the concept spelled through the movie was fascinating. It starts off cheese but after the first 5 minutes it gets real good, and the woman starring in the films is a very beautiful woman IMHO.

Colossus the Forbin Project is from 1970, actually the reason I watched Synchronicity was that I signed up for Netflix thinking they would have this film available, but it is only available on DVD so I bought it for $7 and some change, and cancelled netflix.

This movie is absolutely fascinating, and it is funny how recent experiments in AI from Google and Facebook actually have parts of this movie in it, meaning how Colossus initially speaks to his new found friend. I don't want to get into spoilers but what a fantastic film and these types of films from the 60's 70's which have a good atmosphere of laid back excitement if you can imagine such a thing is fantastic.

The film is about a computer system that takes over the world.

I'm not sure if this helps anyone but the two films I recommend very much.

It had somewhat of a low-budget look, but it wasn't bad at all. Despite some of the usual contrivances of time travel movies, I liked it. (I agree about the babe too - she had that "come hither" look sometimes which, as we all know, can be quite effective - LOL!)

Colossus:The Forbin Project rings a bell. That movie made it to TV (if it wasn't actually made for TV, I don't recall) early seventies. Though the date of its release is 1970.

At the time lots of folks I knew were talking about that movie, having seen it on TV as I had. I think I'll look for a copy for the library.

Synchronicity: I'll try to view it soon

Thanks for the recommendations. Sci-Fi is a genre I never tire of.

I admired how she supported herself in the movie.
