Some might remember the gnashing of my teeth over getting fired from Movie Pass over a year ago. I joined for $29.95 a month for all the movies I could stomach. Boy-hidey, I saw some movies. Twelve in the first month, alone. Then arrived Mitch Lowe and his first act was to run totals and decide people like me don't need to see "a movie a day" because I damn well may do so. I'm not sure how many of us were let go but it was more than a hundred. Now, there is another new guy on the scene and he thinks they can make money by selling the service for $9.95 a month! They even make a big deal about see a movie a day! This can't be right. The new guy says they will be getting a cut from concessions "derived" from Movie Pass visits. Funny in that there is no tie between my Movie Pass ticket and the concessions counter. I've decided to take it for what it is: another magical unicorn ride that will end abruptly with Elmer Fudd's shotgun. Get yer Movie Pass now while it's still good. |

No buyer's remorse here. I'll just ride until Elmer drops that unicorn. |
