Justice League got 40% on RT but 51% on MRQE (which is usually tougher on all movies). Time Out gave it 3 out of 5!

I am sure it is stupid (as all super hero movies are) so I think I will go!

and give my 2 cents later

...one said Gal Gadot saved it.

Another said he liked it so much he was going to see it again.

there were slow parts but parts of it were terrific, some tense scenes with Superman that I enjoyed, posted on November 18, 2017 at 16:23:35

Gal Gadot does not even have to talk, she rocks out pretty good (I know I am a pig).

Aquaman was pretty cool but he was still Aquaman and the guy could not act

Batman was reminded that he is mortal

and the villain is totally generic, again...

overall I think this is as good as any superhero movie though

after all it is just a superhero movie

This thing just didn't look right to me. With the aspect ratio I was expecting to see "shot on RED" at the end but it referred to Kodak. For a "film" it just didn't look right.

I guess I went to dig on Gal so I got my money's worth but outside of that the story and the acting was just second rate. Momoa was interesting as a "redneck" Aquaman and that was amusing.

Easter Egg all the way at the end.

well as much as a $4-500mm grossing film can bomb.

Cost was reportedly $300mm + $150mm in worldwide promotion and distribution expenses. It has to gross $500mm to break even, and $600mm+ to generate a reasonable profit. Some now think future movies in this franchise may be affected. It will be interesting to see how the next Star Wars movie performs.

Are we nearing the end of fanboy driven movies ?

I got dragged to see it and was pleasantly surprised. For what it is it was pretty good. Let's face it Gal Gadot is worth the ticket price even if the actors just read the phone book.

The actor who plays Superman in the TV show Supergirl is better IMO though.

Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) is the king of playing Lex Luther.

If these movie execs just hired the best actors in these parts they might actually come up with something that rises above the material - after all the material is comic book - it's one genre where performances and some heart in the writing can elevate the material.

Silly, but fun.

Villian is over the top but it does bring in Darkseid/Apoklypse (sp?) into the universe.

Breakout superheroes here are the (future) Flash and Aquaman. Cyborg isn't bad either. The regulars are meh and are here simply for the ride.
