In 2002, a young, idealistic Michael Sullivan (Theo James) landed a job as an executive assistant to a UN Under-Secretary (Kingsley). He was surprised to get the job but Pasha had known his father in the earlier days which prompted him to hire the 24-year-old.

Kingsley played the worldly Under-Secretary in charge of the Iraq "Oil For Food" program operating under the UN's sanctions. He is a very clever and mischevious mentor who has Michael playing into the hands of the corrupt parties who control most of Iraq's economy. (Only Christina Dupre (Bisset), the on-site program chief, is ready to expose the corruption which will challenge and destroy the program.)

James played the young, morally correct Sullivan deftly. He was both smart and naive until outside forces made him realize what he was involved in and how big money and big danger were intertwined.

This smart script was well directed and acted. The film was both compelling and informative and makes one wonder just what the hell goes on at the UN even today.

In the end, Sullivan left the UN and Pasha retired to Crete where no extradition treaties exist. Sullivan sought out normalcy while Pasha still lives in luxurious Cretan Style, today.
