Yep, everything is seen through a phone or computer camera. It's one of those films. Well, not exactly. High quality cast in the form of John Cho and Debra Messing and the associated principals. The film starts out with a very touching tableau of David Kim's family: wife Pam and daughter Margot. They are all a tight unit until Pam passes and things seem a bit stressed around the house.

Margot goes to study for a big test but never returns from her friend's house. Soon David is calling friends and the police about his 16 year old missing daughter. Now, David finds that maybe he doesn't know his little girl as well as he thinks. Now comes Officer Vick (Messing) who is handles these kinds of cases and does wonderful things.

We are near accepting the presented outcome of the futile search for Margot when two big twists occur. Things have not been as they seemed and this "computer genre" movie becomes even more compelling until it's final conclusion.

"Well done" to the writers and producers who have made a "classic" for this genre. I found it educational in the way it exposed all the various social media millennial's use reach out to each other.

This one is still aimed at the younger audience yet still compelling in its own way.

3 wonks for decent story with nice twists
1 wank for still being the fodder of a millennial audience.

+1 nice review! it does not resonate until you start watching that every scene is viewed through a phone, posted on September 7, 2018 at 11:17:18

or computer camera but they pull it off pretty well.

I felt like the ending was kind of tacked on but overall the movie was compelling enough to fly by.

nicely done
