Center channel advice

I have a pair of Snell E.5 mains and need to get a center channel. Was looking at the Snell CR.5 center which is a full freq center with a freq. response of 70-20k +-3db. Is this fine for a center channel? Most vocals are around 1k right? I can get this for $375 +shipping so it's a good deal.

The center carries most of the dialogue and an awful lot of the rest of the sound in HT. You definately want a good one and want one that matches your main speakers so staying with the same brand is smart.

Actually vocals have much more range than just 1KHz. They can go down into the 200Hz range and low baritone voices even a bit lower.

I don't know what the CR5 sells for but I wouldn't expect big discounts on Snell products.

Thanks for the advice... The CR.5 is actually quite reasonable I think. It is timbre matched to the K.5 satellites and the E.5 tower and the MSRP is $525.
