Big thing, but without a remote, through my son, and a tenant that racked off.

But I found the correct remote on line, and its here.

Do they draw a lot more power than LCD types?

They do draw more power but the picture quality is superior.

But I wonder if that's going to pull down the vision quality.

The manual I also found on line covers SEVEN differing versions or country models, and is 122 pages long. IE 61 sheets of printer paper!!

I think getting it working well enough. is going to take a few hours, perhaps days.

Let's hope it's still in working order, and the remote works!!!!

While it is a HD TV it doesn't do Netflix or iView (to watch all/any of your TV stations' backlog of programs).

The current large Sony HD TV will go in our bedroom.

when we buy a HD TV with Netflix and iView the Plasma will go in our bedroom.

Ans, the Sony might become my monitor in the study, see IC for my
re-newed near-field 'monitors' in the study!

Tim, my Pio plasma likewise has a low power setting. Every single recommended settings post for my model I've found on the internet says to turn off the power saver for best PQ. As per internet connectivity for your plasma, I cannot recommend Roku highly enough. Very easy to setup and connect.

You may have already done this, but a Google of "best picture settings for (brand) (model)" will usually get you several recommended settings from users.

Best,

Mike
